Broadcasting Institute of Maryland
John Jeppi
The Broadcasting Institute of Maryland has been
in existence for 33 years and is one of only ten nationally accredited
broadcasting schools in the entire country! We train you for positions in
on-air radio, on-air TV, radio and TV production, plus media specialties such as
sales, promotions and commercial writing and production. You may also
place special emphasis on news or sports in your on-air education.
Notable media personalities like Robin Quivers (The
Howard Stern Show), Tim Williams (WJZ-TV in Baltimore), Sarah
Fleischer (98 Rock), Gregory Kane (The Baltimore Sun) and Jamie
Costello (WMAR-TV) are BIM graduates.
Assisting our graduates with job placement is one
of the school's main priorities. With nearly 2000 alumni to call on, we're
able to assist with jobs in radio, TV, production and media sales and
promotions. In 2001, BIM placed 77% of it's graduates in broadcast-related
positions, including Steven Hill (WJFK Radio), Jermy Neisser (Hickory Crawdads
minor league baseball team); Peter Smith (Fox-45 TV, Baltimore), Chanta McBryant
((WJRO Radio) and Marika Crowther (WXYV Radio)
